Publication of an article in Jurnal Studi Tafsir constitutes an essential contribution to the development of scholarly knowledge in tafsir studies. It reflects the quality of research conducted by authors and the credibility of the institutions involved.
All parties involved in the publication process—authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—are required to uphold the highest standards of academic integrity, transparency, and responsibility.
This publication ethics statement is formulated based on best practices in scholarly publishing and general principles of ethical publication, including honesty, objectivity, fairness, and accountability.
- Ethical Principles
Jurnal Studi Tafsir upholds three fundamental principles in scholarly publication:
- Integrity: Ensuring that all published works are original, accurate, and free from fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism
- Fairness: Ensuring equal and unbiased evaluation of all submissions

- Duties of Authors
Authors are required to:
- Submit original works that have not been published or submitted elsewhere
- Ensure proper acknowledgment of all sources and references
- Avoid plagiarism, data fabrication, and falsification
- Clearly present research methods and arguments
- Disclose any conflicts of interest
- Ensure that all listed authors have made significant contributions to the research
- Immediately notify the editor if a significant error is discovered after publication
- Duties of Editors
Editors are responsible for:
- Making publication decisions based solely on academic merit, relevance, and contribution to the field
- Ensuring a fair and unbiased peer-review process
- Maintaining confidentiality of submitted manuscripts
- Avoiding conflicts of interest in editorial decisions
- Taking appropriate action in cases of ethical misconduct (e.g., plagiarism, duplicate submission)
- Duties of Reviewers
Reviewers must:
- Provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations
- Maintain confidentiality of manuscripts
- Identify relevant published work not cited by the author
- Avoid reviewing manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest
- Refrain from using unpublished materials for personal research
- Duties of Publisher
The publisher (CV Kontradiksi Indonesia Grup) is responsible for:
- Ensuring the sustainability and integrity of the journal
- Supporting editorial independence
- Upholding ethical standards in all stages of publication
- Addressing ethical issues, including retractions and corrections
- Plagiarism and Academic Misconduct
Jurnal Studi Tafsir strictly prohibits:
- Plagiarism
- Data fabrication or falsification
- Duplicate or redundant publication
All submissions will be screened for similarity. Manuscripts that violate ethical standards will be rejected or retracted.
- Conflict of Interest
All parties (authors, editors, reviewers) must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal relationships that may influence their decisions or interpretations.
- Corrections and Retractions
If significant errors or ethical violations are identified after publication, the journal will:

The editorial team reserves the right to:
