Peer Review Process

  1. Review Model

Jurnal Studi Tafsir implements a double-blind peer review system, in which both the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed to ensure objectivity and fairness throughout the evaluation process.

  1. Review Process Stages

Each submitted manuscript undergoes the following stages:

  1. Initial Screening
  • The editor conducts a preliminary assessment of the manuscript’s relevance to the journal’s focus and scope
  • The screening includes:
    • Originality and plagiarism check
    • Compliance with the journal template and guidelines
    • Initial academic quality assessment

Manuscripts that do not meet the requirements will be rejected without further review (desk rejection).

  1. Reviewer Assignment
  • Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers
  • Reviewers are selected based on their expertise relevant to the manuscript topic

In certain cases, a third reviewer may be assigned.

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on:

  • Novelty and scholarly contribution
